ESDS Competitive Programs at the AGU Fall Meeting 2018

NASA's Earth Science Data System (ESDS) competitive programs, Advancing Collaborative Connections for Earth Systems Science (ACCESS) and Citizen Science for Earth Systems Program (CSESP) are well-represented at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting 2018.

CSESP is sponsoring the Citizen Science: Engaging a Wider Community to Better Understand Our Planet presentation and poster sessions on Tuesday, December 11. CSESP project presenters include Tamlin Pavelsky (University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill), John Volckens (Colorado State University), Prakash Doriswamy (Research Triangle Institute), Rusanne Low (Institute for Global Environmental Strategies), and Anthony Arendt (University of Washington, Seattle).

Arendt is also one of several ACCESS Program Primary Investigators (PIs) who will be presenting their work at AGU. Two ACCESS 2015 PIs will host workshops instructing others in the use of their finished tools. Andrea Donnelan (NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, or JPL) will be hosting the workshop Analyzing Geodetic Imaging Data Using GeoGateway Online Tools, and Vardis Tsontos (JPL) will host Web-based Tools and Data Standards for Marine Electronic Tagging and In situ Datasets: An Interactive and Consultative Workshop. Current ACCESS PIs Patrick Heimbach (Univesity of Texas, Austin) and Ian Fenty (JPL) are hosting the Estimating the Circulation and Climate of the Ocean (ECCO) Town Hall: The Latest Global Ocean and Sea Ice State Estimate from the ECCO Consortium.
