The Department of Defense (DOD) announced the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) will cease processing of all of their data products including, the Special Sensor Microwave Imager/Sounder (SSMIS) and Special Sensor Microwave/Imager (SSM/I) data, by June 30, 2025.
We will follow up with a complete list of data products affected and potential solutions for continuing research.
