HCFCs, with one or more hydrogen-carbon bonds are slated to replace CFCs
in most of the current applications. HCFCs are more unstable and subject
to hydroxyl radical and ozone attack early in their gas phase career in
the atmosphere. Therefore, their atmospheric lifetime is projected to be
shorter and their chance of reaching the stratosphere
