The Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC) announced the availability of the ECOsystem Spaceborne Thermal Radiometer Experiment on Space Station (ECOSTRESS) Tiled Ancillary Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Albedo Level 2 Global 70 m Version 2 data product. This product is produced by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and is offered at a spatial resolution of 70 meters (m). The Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) and Harmonized Landsat Sentinel-2 (HLS) Version 2 data sources are fused by using a variant of the Spatial Timeseries for Automated high-Resolution multi-Sensor data fusion (STARS) methodology. ECOSTRESS STARS is an ancillary data product used in the production of the ECOSTRESS higher level evapotranspiration products.

Attached to the International Space Station (ISS), ECOSTRESS measures the Earth's surface temperature to better understand how much water is used by plants. More information on ECOSTRESS can be found on JPL's ECOSTRESS website.
