Resolved

On March 26, 2026, NASA's Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC) will cease distribution of Earth Surface Mineral Dust Source Investigation (EMIT) Version 1 methane and carbon dioxide enhancement and plume data products. These four products will no longer be available for search and download from NASA’s Earthdata Search.

The User Guides and Algorithm Theoretical Basis Documents (ATBDs) for these EMIT Version 1 data products will be retained and available via the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) dataset landing pages. The DOI landing pages will remain available as a permanent URL for historical information and citations.

Users are highly encouraged to transition to the EMIT Version 2 methane and carbon dioxide data products. EMIT Version 2 data products are available for download through NASA’s Earthdata Search.

Please contact LP DAAC User Services with any questions or concerns.
