NASA Earthdata and the Global Hydrometeorology Resource Center Distributed Active Archive Center (GHRC DAAC) have released the ER-2 Navigation Data TC4 Version 1 dataset. This collection contains navigation and aircraft state information recorded aboard NASA's ER-2 high-altitude aircraft during the Tropical Composition, Cloud and Climate Coupling (TC4) field campaign.
The dataset provides aircraft position, altitude, heading, velocity, attitude, and related navigation parameters that support the interpretation and geolocation of coincident airborne science measurements. These data are essential for researchers using TC4 observations because they provide the spatial and temporal reference framework needed to analyze and validate atmospheric measurements collected during flight operations. Data were collected from July through August 2007 during the TC4 campaign and are distributed in ASCII text format.
