Resolved

In order to assist in the rapid characterization of Earth surface locations prior to and after significant events, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) coordinates satellite and aerial imagery and related data distribution to emergency responders. The Hazards Data Distribution System (HDDS) provides data search and download capabilities. The site is hosted by the USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center.

Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC) ASTER and MODIS data may be included in this data inventory. The most recently supported event is the April 2010 oil spill in the Gulf of America. New data continue to be added as acquired, and new events are supported as needed.

Please contact LP DAAC User Services for additional information or if you have questions.
