NASA Earthdata has released SeaDAS 12.0.0. Here are some highlights of what's new:
- Earthdata Cloud Data Browser: Supports searching for multiple products in a single search and supports downloading the data file URL locations.
- Earthdata Cloud Subset Tool: Retains level-2 flags when subsetting by variable. Supports 3D variables. Supports the Hyper-Angular Rainbow Polarimeter #2 (HARP2) and Spectro-polarimeter for Planetary Exploration one (SPEXone) level-2 data.
- File Reader: Implements file reader caching to significantly improve system performance when loading and opening files. Supports Version-4 of HARP2 and SPEXone level-2 data.
- Image Display: Fixes a display issue where highly zoomed-in images were not precisely aligning the data image of the pixel with the pixel borders.
- Automated OceanColor Science SoftWare (OCSSW) Docker Management: SeaDAS now automatically starts the OCSSW Docker container when needed, launches Docker Desktop, downloads the required container image if necessary, and restarts the container if it stops.
- Platform and Performance Updates: Integrated SNAP 14.0.1. Increased the default maximum JVM heap size to 12 GB.
