NASA's Ocean Biology Distributed Active Archive Center (OB.DAAC) announced the minor release of the Sea, earth, atmosphere Data Analysis System (SeaDAS) version 9.0.1.
Highlights of what's new:
- Application Launcher
- MacOS: SeaDAS Application now launches by clicking on SeaDAS app icon.
- Level-2 File Reader:
- Level-2 flags and corresponding masks are now dynamically named from the value stored in the level-2 file metadata.
- Level-3 File Reader:
- 3D array products are now supported.
- General map projections are now supported enabling use of tools such as Spectrum View tool. Previously, only smi (plate carree) projection was supported.
- Band Properties GUI:
- "View Angle" field is only displayed for relevant missions (currently used only by PACE polarimeters).
- SNAP Integration:
- Uses a modification of SNAP 11.x (Apr 30, 2024) development code. Release Date: Sept. 29, 2023.
