The Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (Suomi NPP) products, including Physical Oceanography Distributed Active Archive Center (PO.DAAC) Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) Sea Surface Temperature (SST) datasets, have been temporarily stopped due to a satellite anomaly starting at 01:56:11 UTC on July 26, 2023. Currently, the satellite is in non-nominal state and the length of outage remains unclear. Unfortunately, all missing data will not be recoverable.
We are in the process of migrating all NASA Earth science data sites into Earthdata from now until end of 2026. Not all NASA Earth science data and resources will appear here until then. Thank you for your patience as we make this transition.
