The Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC) has released data for the Tropical ozone Transport Experiment - Vortex Ozone Transport Experiment (TOTE-VOTE) campaign. TOTE-VOTE was conducted by NASA from December 1995 to February 1996 in the Pacific region of the United States. The goal of the campaign was to gain a better understanding of background transport processes from tropical/polar regions to midlatitudes. There were 19 flights conducted by the NASA DC-8 aircraft and balloon sondes aimed at measuring the transport of filaments of air moved in or out of the arctic polar vortex and the tropical stratospheric reservoir. Ten collections are publicly available via Earthdata Search.
We are in the process of migrating all NASA Earth science data sites into Earthdata from now until end of 2026. Not all NASA Earth science data and resources will appear here until then. Thank you for your patience as we make this transition.
