Description
The GRIP WB-57 Navigation and Housekeeping data was collected on flight days occuring between July 13 , 2010 to September 17, 2010 during the Genesis and Rapid Intensification Processes (GRIP) field campaign. The major goal was to better understand how tropical storms form and develop into major hurricanes. The NASA WB-57 is a weather research aircraft capable of operating for extended periods of time (~6.5 hours) from sea level to altitudes well over 60,000 feet (12 miles high). Both data in IWG1 format and error logs are part of this dataset.
