This video focuses on Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) surface reflectance data products created by NASA and distributed by the Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC). VIIRS is an instrument aboard the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (Suomi-NPP) satellite, which was launched as a partnership between the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and NASA. Delivery of Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (Suomi NPP) satellite data products will cease on November 1, 2026. Data users should transition now to alternative products from NOAA-21 and NOAA-20.
