Description

This NASA Earthdata webinar short will demonstrate the basics of using earthaccess to download data from the NASA Earthdata Cloud.

The earthaccess Python library streamlines the discovery and access of NASA Earthdata by reducing complex workflows to a few lines of code. earthaccess is an open-source project and is supported by a welcoming, active community of contributors that spans NASA’s Earth Science Data and Information System (ESDIS), private industry, and the broader Earth science user community.

With earthaccess, impactful science happens faster. Use it to:

  • Authenticate: Provide your NASA Earthdata Login (EDL) credentials, and earthaccess handles Earthdata Cloud access keys for you;
  • Search for data: Explore NASA's extensive collection of Earth science data, powered by CMR;
  • Access data: Download data to your local machine or stream within the cloud.

Format

A webinar short is a condensed webinar format designed to present highly focused, bite-sized information. This short presentation (approximately 15 minutes) will optimize its time for presenting useful information and will not feature a Q&A session.
