The User Experience Webinar Series hosted by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center will host a free virtual webinar on July 17, 2025, to highlight NASA’s Application for Extracting and Exploring Analysis Ready Samples (AppEEARS).

AppEEARS provides a simple and user-friendly way to access and transform geospatial data. It enables users to efficiently subset data spatially, temporally, and by layer, significantly reducing the volume of data downloaded for analysis. Sample requests can be submitted to AppEEARS using the graphical user interface (GUI) on the webpage or through the application programming interface (API). Users can submit sample requests for point geographic coordinates or area-based vector polygons. Additionally, interactive visualizations with summary statistics of the sample results are provided to allow the user to preview and interact with their sample before downloading the data.

In this webinar, experts from NASA's Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC) will showcase AppEEARS capabilities and highlight how using AppEEARS can assist users in simplifying geospatial data workflows.

Please register to attend the “Simplifying Geospatial Data Workflows with NASA's AppEEARS” webinar. Once you have registered for the webinar, please either click “Add to Calendar” on the confirmation page or check your email, and possibly your spam folder, for a follow up email from Teams to ensure the webinar is saved to your calendar.

This webinar will be recorded and will be available on the USGS Trainings YouTube channel at a later date.
