This false color corrected reflectance image shows the Amazon Delta in Brazil, South America, on November 21, 2022. This image was acquired by the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) aboard the joint NASA/NOAA NOAA-20 satellite. The delta is formed by the Amazon River and the Tocantins River (through the Pará River distributary channel) and is located in the Brazilian states of Pará and Amapá.
