The Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC) has published an initial release of the currently available publication quality data for the Dynamics and Chemistry of the Summer Stratosphere (DCOTSS) campaign. DCOTSS is a NASA Earth Venture Suborbital research project aimed at investigating the North American Monsoon Anticyclone (NAMA). The NAMA dominates the circulation of the North-Western Hemisphere and acts to partially confine and isolate air from the surrounding atmosphere. DCOTSS utilizes the NASA ER-2 aircraft and has conducted the first of two ~8-week science deployments based out of Salina, KS. The second deployment is targeted to begin at the end of May 2022.

This initial release includes all publication quality data to date. More publication quality data from this deployment, updated revisions, and data from the upcoming second deployment will become available as it is submitted.

Additional information on DCOTSS can be found on the ASDC DCOTSS Landing Page.
