At approximately 20:00:00 Universal Time (UTC) on March 26, 2026 (DOY 2026-085), the Terra satellite experienced an anomaly and the MODIS instrument was placed in standby mode. Although we are still receiving data and NRT processing continues, we advise users to exercise caution when using the data until it has been further verified and confirmed by the instrument teams.
We are in the process of migrating all NASA Earth science data sites into Earthdata from now until end of 2026. Not all NASA Earth science data and resources will appear here until then. Thank you for your patience as we make this transition.
