The NOAA 21 (JPSS 2) satellite experienced data gaps between 20:36 Universal Time (UTC) on March 29 and 12:48 UTC on March 30, 2026, due to an issue with data processing at the Earth Observing System (EOS) Data and Operations System (EDOS).
The issue has been resolved, but we are still awaiting the redelivery of L0 data. Until then, neither day will have complete processing for L2 data, and other products and following days will be held up, as well, due to production rules that use the prior day’s gridded clouds as input to current day’s processing. We will update this note once we receive the data and processing starts.
