NASA’s Physical Oceanography Distributed Active Archive Center (PO.DAAC) released the Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) Sword of Science River Discharge data products. The SWOT mission is implemented jointly by NASA and Centre National D'Etudes Spatiales (CNES) to provide valuable data and information about the world's oceans and its terrestrial surface water such as lakes, rivers, and wetlands. Data products included in this release are generated from the SWOT Confluence program run by the Discharge Algorithm Working Group (DAWG), and include gauge constrained estimates of river discharge that leverage in-situ measurements, and unconstrained estimates.
Please refer to the dataset landing page for information about how to access SWOT data. Users are strongly encouraged to read the SWOT Sword of Science Data Recipes available on the PO.DAAC Cookbook for detailed information about how to work with these data products.
If you have questions, please contact PO.DAAC user services or visit PO.DAAC on Earthdata Forum.
