NASA's Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC) has released the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) Version 2 Gross Primary Productivity and Net Photosynthesis data products at 500 meter resolution. VIIRS Version 2 includes data products from both the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (Suomi NPP) satellite and the NOAA-20 satellite, which was previously called Joint Polar Satellite System-1 (JPSS-1). Included in these VIIRS products are layers for gross primary productivity and net photosynthesis along with a quality control layer.
Users are encouraged to use the higher quality gap-filled products which are generated at the end of each given year. Forward processing is available for the VNP17A2 and VJ117A2 8-day products for users who need access to more recent data.
