The SWOT Prior Lake Database, Nominal Orbit, Version 2.02 collection is one out of three parts of the SWOT Prior Lake Database. The SWOT Prior Lake Database is an auxiliary dataset that provides a global inventory of lakes and reservoirs with polygons and other metadata for use in the context of the Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) mission. The database provides prior data on known lakes, making it possible to link SWOT lake observations over time and to compute storage change. It is generated by combining multiple global and regional hydrographic databases into one congruent product. This is the full scientific version used in SWOT Level-2 High-Rate processing chains for lake products, distributed in a SQLite format.

The SWOT Prior Lake Database is distributed by PO.DAAC in three collections: Basin, Calibration Orbit, and Nominal Orbit. This collection is organized into orbit passes from the nominal orbit phase.
