These data are provided at multiple spatial (8 km to 500 km) and temporal (daily to climatological) resolutions, allowing researchers to study oceanic processes across various scales. In addition to traditional oceanographic data (Eulerian variables), the dataset also includes Lagrangian variables such as Finite-Time Lyapunov Exponents (FTLE) and dilation rates, which offer insights into ocean transport and mixing. By integrating satellite observations and numerical models such as the HYbrid Coordinate Ocean Model (HYCOM) and Ocean Surface Current Analysis Real-time (OSCAR), this dataset provides a versatile resource for understanding marine ecosystems, supporting research in physical oceanography, climate change, and marine predator habitat modeling.
