Description
The West Africa Coastal Vulnerability Mapping: Mangrove Forests Distribution, 2000 Polygon data set was derived from the 30m resolution Earth Science Data Information System (ESDIS) Global Mangrove Forests Distribution, 2000 raster data set. It represents the distribution of mangrove forests within 200 kilometers of the coast. The global raster data set is a compilation of the extent of mangrove forests from the Global Land Survey and the Landsat archive with hybrid supervised and unsupervised digital image classification techniques.
