Description
The GPM Ground Validation Micro Rain Radar 2 (MRR-2) University of Connecticut (UCONN) dataset includes reflectivity, Doppler velocity, signal-to-noise ratio, spectral width, droplet size, liquid water content, melting layer, drop size distribution, rain attenuation, rain rate, and radial velocity data collected by the Micro Rain Radar 2 (MRR-2) and Micro Rain Radar Pro (MRR-PRO) instruments. At UConn a MRR-2 was deployed in 2021-2022, and 2 MRR-Pros were deployed in 2022-2023 and 2023-2024. The dataset contains data from December 1, 2021 to May 5, 2024 in the netCDF-3 and netCDF-4/CF formats.
