Decision support tools developed by NASA's Ecological Conservation Program help end users analyze and forecast changes that affect our ecosystems and to develop effective management strategies. In this webinar—the first in a new series titled "Ecological Conservation Webinar Series: Decision Support Tools"—experts from Boise State University and Trout Unlimited will demonstrate the MVPRestore web application, which aims to improve measurement of the impacts of beaver rewilding and river restoration. MVPRestore is part of the Mesic Resource Restoration Monitoring Aid (MRRMaid) satellite-based monitoring toolbox developed at Boise State.
The webinar agenda includes:
- Kick-off: Dr. Keith Gaddis, NASA's Program Manager for Ecological Conservation, will launch the new webinar series and lead us into the webinar.
- Keynote Talks: Get ready to be inspired with an intro to the project, new MVPRestore app, and a showcase of its use for two restoration case studies.
- Demo: Dive into how to use the toolbox with a demo in Google Earth Engine.
- Q&A: Interactive session that will challenge you to think about how you can scale this tool in terms of geography, breadth of users, and/or thematic area.
