NASA’s Applied Remote Sensing Training Program (ARSET), the training arm for the NASA Earth Action program, has a new home on NASA Earthdata, a one-stop-shop for exactly that: Earth data. This migration moves ARSET’s training content on how to use NASA remote sensing and tools for environmental management to where the data and tools are hosted, providing ARSET users with a more seamless experience.
NASA ARSET trains participants worldwide on the use of open-access NASA satellite data and tools for air quality, health, disasters, agriculture, ecological conservation, water resources, climate resilience, and wildland fire applications through both online and in-person training courses. These trainings are designed to fit the needs of those new to remote sensing and advanced practitioners alike, taking the user through foundational knowledge and theory, live demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and case studies.
