This true-color image shows Hurricane Lorenzo in the Atlantic Ocean acquired on 30 September 2019 by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) Instrument, aboard the Terra satellite. The satellite takes a ‘snapshot’ of events as it passes over the earth.
