Storm Ciarán over Western Europe

The storm hit northwestern France on Wednesday and moved to Britain and western Europe on Thursday causing heavy rains and strong winds. At least five deaths have been attributed to the storm and more than 1 million people are without power in France, most in the northwestern region of Brittany.
