Corrected reflectance/false-color image (bands 7-2-1) of snow and sea ice off Newfoundland, acquired on 19 January 2020 by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) Instrument, aboard the Terra satellite.

The historic blizzard that occurred over Newfoundland and Labrador left a record 30 inches (76.2 cm) of snow over 24 hours, with some snow drifts recorded at up to 12 to 15 feet (3.5 to 4.5 m). Source: The Washington Post.
