Data from the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (Suomi NPP) satellite received after 17:45 UTC on March 9, 2026, may not meet mission specifications due to an anomaly. Please exercise caution when using this data until it has been further verified and confirmed by the instrument calibration/validation teams.

Update: Suomi NPP was restored to a nominal state on March 12, 2026 (1717 UTC) with science products meeting mission specifications for operational use effective March 16, 2026 (1930 UTC). Suomi NPP data are now considered safe for use. Please note that all SNPP VIIRS data collected between 18:00 UTC on March 9 to 8:12 UTC on March 13 will not be processed and will be hidden due to unrecoverable geolocation errors.
