NASA's Time-Resolved Observations of Precipitation structure and storm Intensity with a Constellation of Smallsats (TROPICS) platform consists of 12 CubeSats in three low-Earth orbital planes. This altitude enables the CubeSats to collect data about specific storms as often as every hour, providing valuable data about tropical cyclones from multiple views.
