NOAA-20 Rephasing Maneuver Alert

The 15-day maneuver will temporarily lead to missing granules and some data degradation.

From March 20, 2024, the NOAA-20 satellite is executing the rephasing maneuver, which takes approximately 15 days. During this time, NOAA-20 will not meet its orbit requirements. Users should exercise caution when using NOAA-20 science data. Some missing granules and data degradation are expected. NASA's Physical Oceanography Distributed Active Archive Center (PO.DAAC) archives mainly the sea surface temperature (SST) datasets from the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) aboard NOAA-20.
