Image of Tropical Storms Marco and Laura, acquired on 23 August 2020. The photo-like, true color corrected reflectance image was captured by the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) aboard the joint NASA/NOAA Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (Suomi NPP) satellite. The rare event of two storms hitting the Gulf of Mexico at the same time has Louisiana being in the "unlucky corridor" that is expected to take the greatest brunt of both storms (source: WRAL news).
