True color corrected reflectance image of ice on Lake Balkhash, Kazakhstan. There is more ice on the eastern section of the lake, compared to the western section. The image was acquired on 28 March 2020 by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) instrument, aboard the Terra satellite.
