SISTER

Space-based Imaging Spectroscopy and Thermal pathfindER

The Space-based Imaging Spectroscopy and Thermal Pathfinder (SISTER) project was designed to prototype workflows and generate Surface Biology and Geology (SBG)-like data products spanning terrestrial ecosystems, inland and coastal aquatic ecosystems, and snow. SISTER focused on developing a data system that is open, portable, scalable, standards-compliant, and reproducible.

Products include workflows and sample data products to demonstrate an end-to-end data processing system. Sample products used imagery from the Airborne Visible/Infrared Imaging Spectrometer-Classic (AVIRIS-C) instrument. The workflows and sample products should be considered experimental and not intended for scientific use.
