Atmospheric Electricity Data Access and Tools

NASA collects data on a wide range of lightning data from location-specific lightning detection counts to field campaign data useful for instrument validation. Our datasets and tools help users find and integrate the data they need to determine how electricity flows through Earth’s atmosphere and predict where lightning may strike.

Atmospheric Electricity Data Tools

Tool Sort descending Description Services
GUARDIAN The GNSS-based Upper Atmospheric Realtime Disaster Information and Alert Network (GUARDIAN) is a near real-time (NRT) ionospheric monitoring tool for natural hazards warning. Monitoring Natural Events
LIS Space Time Domain Search The Lightning Imaging Sensor (LIS) Space Time Domain Search allows users to quickly perform a space time domain search of LIS science products. Search and Discovery
